HairGuru is an AI-powered virtual hairstyle try-on platform that aims to help people in Nepal and beyond decide on a new hairstyle before ever sitting in a salon chair, as the fear of a bad haircut and the difficulty of picturing a new look on one’s own face keeps many from experimenting, but most are unable to visualize how a style will actually suit them or know which cuts match their face shape. HairGuru offers an all-in-one solution that employs AI to realistically transfer any of 12 hairstyles onto a user’s own photo, detect their face shape from facial landmarks, and recommend the styles most likely to suit them, all through an interactive before/after comparison. HairGuru differentiates itself from competitors by combining photo-realistic AI hairstyle transfer together with face-shape-based recommendation in one seamless, easy-to-use experience, as well as utilizing cutting-edge technology to help users make a confident styling decision before committing to a cut.
