About the project
Recall AI is a browser extension and companion dashboard that solves a problem every frequent AI user faces: prompts and answers typed into ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude disappear into scattered, unsearchable chat histories the moment a new conversation begins. Recall AI captures every prompt across these platforms into one unified timeline, automatically tags and summarises each entry using Google’s Gemini model, and lets users find any past prompt again in seconds.. The target users are students, researchers, developers, and professionals who rely on multiple AI tools daily and need a reliable memory layer that today’s chat interfaces don’t provide.
The platform is built with a Chrome extension front end, a Node.js/Express backend, Supabase (PostgreSQL) for authentication and data storage, JWT-based sessions with OTP-verified password recovery, and Gemini’s embedding API for semantic matching. By turning fragmented AI conversations into an organised, searchable, and shareable personal knowledge base, Recall AI saves users time, prevents repeated work, and helps them extract lasting value from every AI interaction effectively giving people a long-term memory for their AI-assisted thinking.
