About the Project
AAWAJ is an AI-powered citizen grievance redressal platform developed to simplify and modernize the reporting of civic issues. The project addresses the challenges of traditional complaint systems, where citizens must visit government offices, complete manual paperwork, and often face delays, lack of transparency, and privacy concerns. Through a secure web platform, users can anonymously report issues such as road damage, waste accumulation, water leakage, and electricity failures by uploading images and selecting the location of the problem. Using Google Gemini AI, the system automatically analyzes images, generates complaint descriptions, categorizes issues, and prioritizes them before forwarding verified reports to the appropriate government authority. Dedicated moderation and government dashboards enable efficient complaint verification, tracking, and resolution. Built using Django, JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, Leaflet.js, and AI-powered image analysis, AAWAJ promotes faster service delivery, greater public participation, and smarter decision-making. The platform aims to improve communication between citizens and government while creating a more transparent, efficient, and technology-driven civic complaint management system.
